SLSS Branch Open & Masters Carnival - Sat 4th Feb @ Maroubra

With Branch Carnival split across a few weeks, Open and Masters (beach) elements of were held Saturday 4th February for Opens and Masters.  Balance of Branch being R&R; Masters (Water) and Champion Lifesaver events were held 11th February at Coogee.
 
Coogee coming a respectable 6th in the Opens, beating Maroubra, Bondi and Cronulla.  Pretty impressive!
 
2km Beach Runs
Dazzled by the brilliance of Will Mison in the Open Mens 2km.  He blitzed the competition, putting the pedal down in the last leg to blow away the Wanda competitor.  Fantastic to watch, well done Will Mison.
U15 - Ari Swan - making it just in time for the gun, Ari Swan delivered a fantastic performance in the 2km.  With the 15's 17's and 19's all running together, made it a bit difficult to work out who you were running against, however he had a fantastic run nabbing the Silver.  A real talent in this race, well done Ari.
U17 - Asher Thomasyu 2nd , Connor Boyd 6th and Connor McFadden 8th

40-49 Masters Female Beach Run - Rona Macniven - 2nd, Nicola Logan 7th
50-59 Masters Female 2km Beach Run - Jennifer Trinca 5th
50-59 Masters Male 2km Beach Run - Richard Stuetz 3rd , Simon Sly 4th, Ken Yardy 5th
