Patrol Roster
The patrol roster has been finalized.
Please make sure you check your times as these have changed from last season. All patrolling members are required to complete Skills Maintenance, for all awards, every year by 31st December. You must also pay your membership fees before patrolling. |
Supporting Patrol Information
Online skills maintenance (for SRC/Bronze) must be completed before attending in person. This is a SLSNSW requirement and you will not be able to complete your wet assessment (on beach) without it, so please ensure you bring a copy with you. You can bring a photo of the certificate on your phone or a hard copy. This will speed up the process on the day.
Access to the Online Skills Maintenance can be found on your Members Portal by selecting eLearning, then My Training. Look for 'Skills Maintenance' and begin.
If you don’t complete online learning or are not booked in, don't come!

Members are encouraged to use the Patrol Substitution function in the Members Portal https://members.sls.com.au to arrange Subs. The system benefits both Members, Patrol Captains and Officers:
Patrol substitutions enable members to indicate when they will be unable to attend a patrol therefore inviting other club members to sub for them. Club members can also accept to sub for another member who is unable to patrol. In addition, you can also ask another member to swap patrols with you, and then register that swap on the portal.
IMPORTANT: Please contact your Patrol Captain if you cannot make your rostered patrol – we can then take action to ensure the patrol is not left short Specials Requests Specials are for members that cannot commit to a regular patrol roster, who are serving in ADF, police, ambulance, doctors, nurses and any members with unpredictable shift-work. Specials members are required to complete 35 hours per season, with half completed before 31st December. They are also advised to stick with a regular patrol, but this is not compulsory. Applications should contain detailed information about the special circumstances faced by the member and why they prevent them from attending a rostered patrol. Members will be notified of the decision after the monthly Management meeting. This determination will not be undertaken lightly. Members are reminded that until they have received confirmation of their request, they are to continue their rostered patrolling duties. |
