Peter Court OAM (1936–2026) was a long-serving and highly respected member of Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) and was awarded Coogee Surf Life Saving Club’s prestigious 1907 Foundation Medal in 2020 in recognition of his exceptional service.
David 'Luna' Park represented our Club at the Randwick District Rugby Union Football Club AGM.
The President, Brian “BOS’ O’Sullivan thanked Coogee SLSC for hosting their AGM and being their long standing Partners-In-Sport. It is nice that so many of their members, including there Director of Rugby. Craig ‘Hawk Eye’ Hawkins, who grew up in our club and is still a member. He reflected back when he rowed with JLS, Snail, with Noisy up the back of the boat. This is a relationship we should cherish and expand with other sporting clubs in our community. Penguins WSC’s season wrapped up on Sunday 23 November 2025 with our AGM and prize presentation.
The Palm Beach Boat Carnival on Saturday was a very good day for the Coogee Boat Teams! Five crews made the trip to Palmy, and all came away with a medal.
Over the last three days, Coogee SLSC has been delivering our Beach Ocean Safety Course with International Students from UNSW & University of Sydney.
Great numbers for the club swim on Sunday. It was a hotly contested race in tough conditions, and a few sore heads from Sat night didn't help! I believe there was quite a bit of breaststroke at the can!
A tie between Luke Porter-Daly and Matt Larkin for the win, or did youth just get the sprint over the line?! The 6 round series is proving to be the Sheppard father and son duo dominating the point score but time will tell if the pack of challengers will overtake them! Round 5 next Sunday, see you all there! Coogee surf boat crews put on a cracking show at the South Maroubra Carnival over the weekend, with great results all round. Despite the overcast skies and the challenging conditions South Maroubra always seems to throw up, our crews rose to the occasion and delivered strongly across the board.
