SLS Sydney AOE Winners

On Saturday 25 May, we had the opportunity to celebrate our Members who were recognised at the SLS Sydney Awards of Excellence, hosted at the impressive Art Gallery of NSW. 

Congratulations to Ruby Thomasyu, winner of the Youth Lifesaver of the Year Award, following her contribution as our Director of Youth Services and Patrol Captaincy, her organisation of the popular Coogee Youth Patrol at Corrimal Beach and general mentorship of our Club's junior and youth members. Congratulations Ruby! 
Rebecca Mister was also recognised as Patrol Captain of the Year following her 15 years of service as PC of Patrol 5, well done Beck! Andrew Bloxsom was awarded the Tony Hughes Official of the Year following his outstanding contribution as an official during the competition season and training of up and coming officials – thank you and very well deserved Blocka! 
Finally, our Education Leadership Team was recognised after carrying out the most education courses in the branch. What a successful awards ceremony... Coogee was definitely front and centre and well represented!
