Beach Stormers at Coogee, Saturday 4 November 2023

Last Saturday 4th November was our first hosting of the beach-only event called Beach Stormers.  Events comprised of distance runs, beach sprints and beach flags.
With 140 registered competitors, some coming from as far south as Wollongong and as far north as Coffs Harbour, with many from the Sydney metro beach clubs.   

​Pleasing also to see 23 Coogee competitors - across all of the age groups with this year seeing the introduction of the U13 age groups we had Minnows competing with Ivy and Nessa and Evie, Emma, Niamh and Amelia in the U15’s and U17’s.  Ronan, Ari, Tim, Quentin and Mary toughed it out in the Distance runs.  Ryan, Kate and newcomers Tim and Quentin in the sprints with Helen, Mary, Lauren, Simon, Wayne, Quentin and Tim in the Masters.   
Overall Coogee came 2nd on the leaderboard for this round.   Great work by everyone on the day, we had competitors in every age group across all disciplines.  Hope to see this event continue to improve each season.

As hosts the Coogee team spirit came out in force to set up the beach track area.  Without this tour de force, the event could not take place and a massive thanks to the following people:

NEXT ROUNDS 3 & 4!
