There are three areas that provide members with the opportunity to demonstrate in a competitive manner the physical, lifesaving and knowledge skills required of a Lifesaver as either an individual, a pair or in a team. These are Champion Lifesaver, First Aid and Patrol Competition. Champion is an individual event that involves a resuscitation, a questionnaire and
competition events. Patrol Competition demonstrate how lifesavers work as a team in performing some or all of the skills associated with surf rescue patrol work. The Patrol Competition includes several physical skills, practical and theory tasks involving racing, rescue and/or first aid situations. The First Aid competition is a team competition with a simulated accident scenario with assessment on how they respond to the incident. For all enquiries please email [email protected]
