Welcome to Coogee Minnows Season
2019-2020

Coogee Minnows is Australia’s longest continually running Junior Surf Life Saving Club, celebrated 50 years of Nippers in 2013-14, and is a dynamic part of the Coogee Surf Life Saving Club community.

With around 1,000 Coogee Minnows in our Nipper Program we are focused on ensuring al our Nippers have a fun, enjoyable and safe time at the beach.

Minnows offers a fun and active lifestyle choice for children between the ages of 5 and 13, as well as a solid base for learning lifesaving skills and competition in beach and water activities. Kids in Minnows are taught everything from sun and surf safety, beach sprints and board paddling, all the way to life saving skills such CPR and water rescues.

Our U14’s Nippers complete their season with them achieving their Surf Rescue Certificate and graduating to an Australian Surf Life Saver and then joining a Surf Patrol at Coogee SLSC.

The Minnows family is not just about the children, it also encompasses “Nipper Parents” who choose to get involved with either teaching beach activities to the kids or who want to achieve their own milestones like completing their Age Managers/Assistants Award or Bronze Medallion Certificate.
