Coogee SLSC ANZAC Day Service

Due how the dates fell this year we held our Anzac Day Service in our Memorial Hall.
This was directly after the huge Sub-Branch commendation at Goldstein Reserve.

​Tony Waller led proceedings covering the traditions of the club’s Anzac Day service.
As we will cover the commendation fully in the annual report, but here we record the following in attendance.
State Member, Dr Marjorie O’Neill along with Mayor Dylan Parker were present.
LT COL Sean Flynn, LT COL Ed Hardy, LT COL Julien West and Chloe West who are all serving in the ADF, We recognise LT COL James Campbell (Ret’d) along with two old veterans Dave Habler and Vic Greenfield being present.
 
A big thank you to Doug Hawkins who put the service together along with Tony Waller who along with self form the Anzac Committee.
The after service breakfast was delivered by Scans and Trudy, a big thank you to both of you, much appreciated.
 
A fitting service with plenty of young ones filling the hall to standing room only.
Very encouraging that so many showed their respects to those who served and are still serving and to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
