Our Autumn Coogee Island Challenge on Sunday 13 April was an undeniable success as we assisted over 2,000 people in their swim adventure toward Wedding Cake Island. What a sensational day we had on Sunday! The water was sparkling, ocean temperature was warm, the crowds were huge and volunteers were smiling as 2001 swimmers participated (a big record)! For the first time ever, we sold out of merchandise and almost ran out of swim caps. Thank you to all volunteers who as always do an incredible job, the event couldn't be run without you. Thanks to our race starters who fired the hooter with gusto - Minnows Junior Captains, Emmy and Brody (800m), Tim Wright from The Wright Physio (1km) and Mayor Dylan Parker (2km). The Coogee Island Challenge is known as one of the best ocean swims because swimmers feel safe, it's well organised and the atmosphere is buzzing - all thanks to your volunteer efforts. Head over to our website Ocean Events for photos. And the winners are... 800m Junior Dash
