Boat Crews dominate Sydney Branch Team

Months and months of hard work by our boats crews and sweeps has seen Coogee, for the first time, make up the bulk of the crews that make up the Sydney Branch Surf Boat Interbranch Team. 

Our boat crews have been consistently making finals and a number of wins and placings achieved over the season - resulting in the below selections to represent Sydney Branch. Out of a total of 8 crews that make up the Branch team , Coogee had 4 crews selected, the most by any Club in the Branch. North Cronulla providing 3 crews and Wanda 1. 

Big congratulations to :

• Women's U19 crew - Nut Crabbers - David Smith, Tarni Doyle, Liz Frawley, Samara Lichaa and Gemma Morrison.
• Women's U23 Crew - Havachats - Davis Smith, Macy Smith, Mila Folsom, Alice Norbury and Georgia Beale 
• Women's Reserve Grade Crew - Overwavers - Rod Colman, Gemma Lumley, Terena Kolster, Tracy Lee McCarthy and Katie Vesper
• Women's Open Crew - DMG's - Paul Beale, Sam Murray, Lauren McLean, Kelsey McGuinness and Caitlin Trumble.

Well done to all teams  - our boat area is on the rise and with an influx of both female and male junior rowers - the future's looking bright for the Coogee Boat area.  

The Crews race at Umina Beach 2 February - the day after the Metropolitan Boat Championships, also being held at Umina.
