The Palm Beach Boat Carnival on Saturday was a very good day for the Coogee Boat Teams! Five crews made the trip to Palmy, and all came away with a medal.
Over the last three days, Coogee SLSC has been delivering our Beach Ocean Safety Course with International Students from UNSW & University of Sydney.
Great numbers for the club swim on Sunday. It was a hotly contested race in tough conditions, and a few sore heads from Sat night didn't help! I believe there was quite a bit of breaststroke at the can!
A tie between Luke Porter-Daly and Matt Larkin for the win, or did youth just get the sprint over the line?! The 6 round series is proving to be the Sheppard father and son duo dominating the point score but time will tell if the pack of challengers will overtake them! Round 5 next Sunday, see you all there! Coogee surf boat crews put on a cracking show at the South Maroubra Carnival over the weekend, with great results all round. Despite the overcast skies and the challenging conditions South Maroubra always seems to throw up, our crews rose to the occasion and delivered strongly across the board.
It is with great sadness that we report that Brian passed away suddenly on Monday, 10th November. His good mate Graeme Tondi, the Drover, reported that Brian suffered a stroke from which he did not recover.
The annual Anonymous Donor Biathlon was fiercely contested on Friday night with Kate across the line first, but the overall fastest competitor was Ari followed closely by Ronan and then young gun Carter.
