Due how the dates fell this year we held our Anzac Day Service in our Memorial Hall.
This was directly after the huge Sub-Branch commendation at Goldstein Reserve.

Our Autumn Coogee Island Challenge on Sunday 13 April was an undeniable success as we assisted over 2,000 people in their swim adventure toward Wedding Cake Island.
After the first day of youth getting cancelled due to unpredictable surf and weather conditions the youth competed on the Sunday.
With a relatively young team representing the Beach area at Aussies, our competitors were split over two weekends, with the majority (24) in the Youth competition in the first weekend.
For those that aren’t aware for the lifesaving events (Champion Patrol, Champion Lifesaver and First Aid) there are normally only 8 spots on offer for each event per age group and gender across Australia and two of these go to NSW. So to actually be apart of these events at Aussies is a massive achievement in the first place.
This year's Aussies surfing team was bigger and better than ever and if you don't believe me believe Coogee's legendary status of the highest scoring club in its field. People might say Coogee doesn't get any waves but it sure does seem to produce some bloody good surfers (actually sometimes does produce surf like it did last week wow).
Aussies 2025 are officially over with 137 Coogee athletes competed for 8 hard days of competition on the Gold Coast.
314 Surf Clubs come together to compete in more than 480 beach and ocean events and Coogee walked away with a sensational 33 medals - 16 Gold, 13 Silver & 4 Bronze. |
